Native Trees

 

 

            My Playground Fantastico group is called “Native Trees”. Our job was to find trees that would help the animals and the environment at the playground. We chose Western Redbuds because they work well in our weather and because birds like them. Then we helped measure and plant them. We still have a few things to do at the park. For one thing, we still need to water our trees so they won’t die in the summer. We also need to prune some of the trees at the park to make it more enjoyable to go to. We might even need to keep watering in eighth grade.
