Project Fantastico
Film Group
My group is the film group. What we do is film the groups doing their jobs. We really try to get them doing their best work. For example, if we were filming the wild flower group we would get them planting the actual flowers, not patting the soil down. We really like to interview the groups and see what they are doing and how.
I would really like to see a lot of things done with the park. For one, I really wish to see all the litter picked up. It’s not impossible and it would be great if it could be gone forever. Another thing I would like to be done with the park is get the water cleaned up. The water is really dirty and there are a lot of cattails and blackberry bushes. I truly hope that the park will get cleaned up and be a great environment for kids and wildlife

My class has recently started visiting Playground Fantastico to make the park a better place. We have split our classroom into several groups such as film, camera and planting. Two organizations, the Gasser Foundation and the Rotary Club, have donated money to our project to make the park a better place. With that money funded to us, we buy all the materials needed.
I am in the film group and we make sure we record all the people doing their jobs and also what the park looks like now. We want to show a major change in the park’s appearance and what it will look like in the future. In the future we want to have planted a lot of plants, cleaned up the river, and much more. The park has already shown major improvement since the beginning of the school year.

My class here at River Middle School is trying to stop pollution in Playground Fantastico, a local park. In our class we are split into groups like Wild flowers and Birdhouses. Each group on their own is helping the park. My group is the film group. Film is mainly about capturing the events that take place at the park. So far we have filmed trees being planted and progress with the planting of flowers. In the future we plan to film the flowers in bloom and the trees growing big. Though not a lot has been done, I just can’t wait till the future.
